Hello blog friends! It has been such a lazy Sunday that I haven’t even posted my links yet. This might be a new low. In fact, if it wasn’t for my new fancy pedometer (the fitbit) then there would have been zero chance of me getting off the couch today. Anyways, here are some fun and/or interesting things from around the internet.
I know that I’m not like really old (even though I am approaching Ally McBeal’s age, I’m still 25 so I think dancing babies are at least a few years away). However, I will say that I am finally coming to terms with the fact that I will never be a child prodigy. This has made me a little jealous while reading articles like 5 authors who wrote books before turning 21 and 5 Young Novelists to Watch. I’m also more than a little in love with this HuffPost Books slideshow – 9 Awesome Famous Women who Never Married – but that might be my inner, approaching Ally McBeal talking.
I’ve also enjoyed:
- A Letter from Sherwood Anderson to his teenage son, 1927.
- 19 Things to Stop Doing in Your Twenties: my favorites are “stop identifying yourself as a cliche and start treating yourself as an individual” and “stop blaming yourself for being human.”
- Articles on the similarities between Jay-Z and Jay Gatsby on The Daily Beast and (once again) HuffPost Books
- Also, I’ve gotten even more obsessed with watching nerdfighter videos with John and Hank Green … maybe it is all the John Green I’ve been reading this week. This has been one of my favorite ones, which gets to the heart of why early adulthood is so terrible and terrifying (for me and I guess for other people like John Green).

This is the best part of my day.
Success!
