Bookish Acronyms

avoiding-jargon-acronyms-resume

Since I started blogging, I’ve learned a lot of acronyms (or perhaps initialisms as John Green would want me to say) about books and writing. I compiled a list of ones I’ve learned and ones I’ve used that readers have asked me about. Let me know in the comments if there is one you’ve been confused about or if there’s one I should know that I haven’t included on this list. Also let me know if I misdefine an acronym … it’s very possible. I’m a girl who has believed more than once that gullible was written on the ceiling.

  1. TL:DR (too long, didn’t read) Used as a dismissive response to a lengthy online post, or to introduce a summary of a lengthy post. But equally useful when discussing books.

    TTFN: Tah, tah for now.
