I’m guessing if you are reading this post right now you are either related to me or you really really like books. There are lots of ways to show the world your truly bookish shelf that might be more socially acceptable than punching a hole in your library card and wearing it on a chain around your neck (although think of the easy access). Whether your favorite book is Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, or Pride and Prejudice, here are some ideas that go beyond cute bookish t-shirts.
One: Literary Cell Phone Cases
(1) An Abundance of Katherines Case (2) Divergent Case (3) Winnie the Pooh (4) Case Catcher in the Rye Case (5) Harry Potter Case
Two: A Jane Austen Scarf
(1) Darcy’s Proposal Scarf 2) Pride and Prejudice Infinity Scarf* (3) Illustrated Scarf
Three: Fantasy Inspired Toms
(1) Alice in Wonderland Toms (2) Hunger Games Toms (3) Tolkien Toms
Four: Bookish Hair Bows and Bow Ties
These bows and more at My Style Bow Etsy Shop.
Are you coveting any of these items? What other ideas have you seen to fashionably proclaim yourself as a reader?
* I got this Pride and Prejudice Scarf for Christmas and it is super cute. I also have a Great Gatsby tote bag from my birthday. I get tons of compliments on both.
There was a Great Gatsby sweater that I wanted so badly. I saw it at the Strand Bookstore in NYC and they only had a XS and it was so snug which is not ideal for a sweater. And then I saw it again at the NYC Public Library gift store and they only had an XL which was TOO baggy. I was so sad. So to this day, I’m still coveting it.
Love those scarves and iphone cases!
Oh no, a gatsby sweater sounds fantastic. That is such a goldie locks story. Hopefully next time you see the sweater it will be “just right”.
I saw a Great Gatsby sweater at Newbury Comics last month… maybe you could find it online?
Some people reading this post are related to you and really like books – now I want those Toms.
I know. I knew you would like the LOTR ones but they are super $$$.
I desperately wanted a pair of painted Toms, and I saw the perfect pair in Disney this past October. Alas, that was the moment when I discovered that Toms do not fit my feet. At all. So now I just look at all the painted Toms I *wish* I could buy, and sigh dramatically.
Oh no. I basically live in Toms, so I can’t think of much that is sadder than not being able to wear them.
Winnie the Pooh phone case!!! *grabby hands* It just looks sooo cute ❤ And those Jane Austen Scarves are pretty cool too 🙂
I love that phone case too. Thanks for commenting!
