Happy Sunday friends. I have been trying to write a better query letter and get up the courage to actually send my novel out to more agents and let me tell you I’ve been a jumble of nerves all week. But that should all come to an end, or at least a pause, because my good friend Joyce is coming for a visit this afternoon. One of the ways I’ve been procrastinating doing the things that are making me nervous, is internet research and general web surfing. Here are some of the more fun and thought-provoking things I found. Hope you enjoy!
- Kristen Stewart shares a poem (possibly about Robert Pattinson).
- The worst poems by great writers.
- 28 books you should read … if you want to.
- A scavenger hunt for your bookshelf. Who wants to play along with me?
- Does anyone else covet this Alice in Wonderland bracelet? What about this teacup ring?
- 5 short stories that will make you a better writer.
- What are your thoughts on comfort reading? Do you prefer new authors or ones you know and love when you are in need of a little bookish TLC.
- An apology letter to Bella Swan.
- Bookopoly – it’s like Monopoly for English majors.
- Who created more words Shakespeare or Chaucer?
- If you are looking for something to read this weekend, I couldn’t recommend The MaddAddam Trilogy, by Margaret Atwood, more. Here is a review I wrote of the series for Kate Brauning’s The Bookshelf.
Asking questions are genuinely pleasant thing if you are not understanding something fully,
except this piece of writing offers good understanding even.
Wow, wonderful blog layout! How long have you been blogging for?
