Top Ten Favorite Fictional Couples

toptentuesdayThis week, in a Top Ten Tuesday Rewind, The Broke and the Bookish, asked bloggers to choose from any of the previous categories. I am relatively new to this book meme, so I picked one of the earliest subjects: favorite fictional couples from books.

Who are your favorite literary couples? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Meg and Calvin were my ultimate OTP before I even knew what that meant. I rooted so hard for them to get together, and I think they have such a great relationship. Anne and Gilbert are another that just swept me away-especially when they were older.

    My TTT

  2. Ron and Hermione forever!!! I don’t even care that JK Rowling did that interview where she said she probably shouldn’t have put them together… I don’t even care! It happened and it was glorious.

    1. That could be fun (in a morbid kind of way). Daisy and Gatsby. Romeo and Juliet. Brett Ashley and Jake Barnes. Tom Wingo and Dr. Lowenstein from Prince of Tides. You’ve got me thinking up a list.

  3. Jaime and Claire in the Outlander series?… they are the reason I have to keep reading like 10,000 pages later…

Ender and Valentine (although not romantic… they are siblings) from the Ender’s Game Series (comes out more in the later books)

  4. Jo and Laurie from Little Women… even though it wasn’t to be. I’m also a big fan of Katniss and Peeta from the Hunger Games series… I feel like they’re just an interesting pairing and it shows the power of shared experiences (particularly traumatic ones) in a way that I find fascinating!

    1. Couldn’t agree more about Jo and Laurie. That is my biggest “should have been” couple. I also really agree with you about Katniss and Peeta being together is a really interesting comment on trauma, survival, and as you said the power of shared experiences.
