Get ready for a lot of TFiOS excitement on the blog this week. I’ve decided that since the film opening is less than a week away, I’m going to let myself unleash my fangirlish feelings. I’m heading back to California tomorrow for some lovely visits with my sister, father, and grandmother so I’m not sure when I’m going to actually see the movie (I can tell you all feel really sorry for me, right?), but to tide me over here are my favorite links related to The Fault in Our Stars. Most of them are focused on the movie, but a few might relate to the book. Okay? Okay. Let’s go.
- New York Times Article profiling the TFiOS screen writers, Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, and crediting them with “reviving the coming-of-age movie”.
- All of the posts on John Green’s tumblr that have to do with the movie. This has his vlogbrothers videos, instagram pictures from the set, answers to questions from fans, and more.
- Another great tumblr devoted to TFiOS.
- Interview with Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort.
- Behind the Scenes with John Green on Time
- Breakdown of the TFiOS soundtrack. This contains some SPOILERS about the movie (i.e. what songs are playing during what scenes) so consider yourself forewarned.
- The original ending of the novel … which would have made for a very different kind of story.
- BookRiot Review of the film (more SPOILERS in this one).
- How much you are going to cry while watching this movie.
- A look at the John Green cameo that got cut from the movie.
- Information about the Night Before Our Stars event – a chance to see the movie the night before it comes out.
- 17 books to read if you enjoyed The Fault in Our Stars.
- My Book Review of The Fault in Our Stars.
- A countdown until the TFiOS film is released.
Are you planning on going to see The Fault in Our Stars? Let me know about your plans and how many packs of tissues you plan to bring with you in the comments.
“Okay? Okay.” I see you what you did there. 😉
Thanks for noticing!
Have an AMAZING time in Cali! Super jealous! 🙂
Thanks Crystal!
I definitely want to see this!!! Have a great trip!
Thank you!
So the screen writers are going to adapt “Paper Towns,” “Me Before You,” “Rules of Civility” and “Where’d You Go, Bernadette?” – they know how to big good material.
I know. They have great tastes. Those are all favorites of mine. I’m super pumped that Where’d You Go Bernadette is being made into a movie.
