I have always been a huge fan of the beach read. Although today my choices usually have more YA romance than chick lit. Here are my top ten suggestions for books to pack when you are headed to the beach. Most of them are summery. Others, like TFiOS and Where She Went are slated to be big summer movies. All of them will go well with sweet drinks, sandy toes, and waves in the background.

Fun! All of the John Green novels are great, but An Abundance of Katherines takes place over the summer so I thought it would be the most appropriate. I’m excited to look at your list to get some ideas for my beach bag!

If I Stay and Along for the Ride are great beach reads! I’ve liked the Rainbow Rowell books I’ve read so far so I’m really looking forward to getting to Landline.

Have you read any other Maureen Johnson books? I actually haven’t read The Bermudez Triangle, but I thought 13 Little Blue Envelopes and Girl at Sea were good beach reads!
Yes! I’ve read both of those and they are both great beach reads. I still have a few Maureen Johnson’s left though … maybe I knock those off this summer. I really want to read the Suite Scarlett sequel.
Anything Sarah Dessen writes is a good beach read! I recently read Hyperbole and a Half, and man was that hilarious. It had me cracking up the whole time! And I am SO excited for Landline! Can’t wait for July, it was on my list too. Great choices! 😀
