Wow I really don’t read much YA! I haven’t read any of these. I love the map idea. I’ll have to look and see if there’s something like this for other genres!
I (obviously) read a ton of YA and I still haven’t read most of these books. I do like the map idea though. I think it’s a really fun project for any genre. Especially since so many books take place in the same places: mostly New York City or California.
I have visited many more states than I have read the YA book about – in fact I will have to start with the three states I have lived in Oklahoma, California and Maryland.

I was thinking this was true for me too. Although if you made your own map from books you’ve read you might have more states than you think!
I love this! I gave a version of this to some of my honors students as a summer reading challenge a few years ago. So much fun!!!
