For me books and travel are best when intertwined with each other. When I’m going on vacations, I love to read books set in the places I’m visiting. I’ve also planned a few trips based on books, which have been really fun. Here are a few of the top places books have made me want to visit (even though some of them are fantasy places, so I probably won’t make it there). Let me know yours in the comments!
Thanks to The Broke and the Bookish for hosting this weekly book meme.
Hogwarts and Paris made my list too.
My TTT
Yeah! I figured those would be pretty popular places!
Oooo. Frell! I didn’t think of that one. Good choice. Paris is on my list for a different book, but I’d like to go there. 🙂
Here’s my TTT
There are so many books that make me want to go to Paris, starting with Madeline and now probably being Anna and Isla’s books. I was lucky enough to go when I was in college and I feel like Hemingway was the author I was thinking of when I was actually there.
That’s awesome that you’ve been there! I’ve been to a few places in Europe, but not Paris. YET. 🙂
From Rebecca I would love to visit Monaco, too, but I couldn’t skip Manderly! 🙂
I really should have added Frell to my list!
I love that we’ve got so many in common this week. I really do want to visit Paris soon!
Ella Enchanted! I haven’t thought about that book for ages, but the setting would be great to visit! Creative choice!
Ah, this list rocks.
I seriously considered From the Mixed-Up Files of of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler. It was only beat out because it wasn’t so much the place, as the idea of running away and hiding in a big building that hooked me in. I also would love to visit the moors of Wuthering Heights. So gloomy and great!
Rebecca! The Met! Hemingway! Your list rocks. I love all of these, and so many of them I hadn’t even thought of when compiling my lists!
Thank you!
