Happy Tuesday! Starting a new series can be daunting. I started the Game of Thrones books over a year ago and am still working my way (slowly) through book 5. It has taken up more than 100 (a lot more than 100 actually) hours of my life so far. Still, there is almost nothing better than getting into a new series. When I love a book, I am hugely excited to be able to keep engaging with the story in future books. Here are the top ten newish (I think they are all 2012 or later) series that have been catching my eye lately. Let me know yours in the comments!

Yeah, it’s been on the bestseller list for so long I figure that it must be good.
Great list! I see a lot of series that have been on my radar – especially The Raven Cycle and the Once Upon a Crime Family series.
I don’t know if it is just the clever pun in the title, but I am getting super excited for the Once Upon a Crime Family series to come out.
The Raven Cycle is awesome. I will be impatiently waiting for the third book to arrive.

Shadow and Bone made my list, too. The Raven Boys was fairly good, but I was disappointed by the second book. That series is starting to feel really dragged out.
Yeah, I loved the Shiver series and then felt so so about The Scorpio Races, so I’m not sure how I will feel about Raven Boys.
My Life Next Door is amazing!! And The Raven Cycle made my list too!! I also really like Kieran Scott/Kate Brian. I would probably read Only Everything even though gods and goddess books haven’t worked out for me so far 😦

These Broken Stars! And … omg The Raven Boys!! That’s my favourite series of ever, but I also have a very special place in my bookish soul for These Broken Stars. I’m ridiculously excited for the sequel coming out!! HUZZAH!!

i loved the raven cycle! one of my favorite series! i hope you read it soon and enjoy it. i also recently finished the fifth wave, which was alright. the shadow and bone series is also fairly good. out of the three series i’ve read in this list, the raven cycle is my favorite 🙂 i’d like to read under the never sky and my life next door as well!
