Yesterday, my sister and I drove up to Rockville, Maryland to visit the grave of Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald and F. Scott Fitzgerald. On the way up Sarah read quotes from both of them out loud. What could be better? When we got to the cemetery, the grave was covered in snow. We did out best to dig it out and it was crazy, because all these items people left on the grave were frozen in the snow. I don’t exactly understand why visit the graves of people we’ve loved and admired feels meaningful, but it did feel really nice to visit the grave of two of my favorite authors. If anyone ever gets the opportunity to visit this cemetery, I definitely recommend it (information here).

Have you ever visited the grave of an author or is there one that you want to visit? If so, I’d love to hear about it in the comments!
Sayre has great name potential in my opinion.
Sarah and I were actually talking about it this morning. I think it might be a little too out there/hard to spell, but I do think it would be cute!
Cool! (I feel weird saying cool…oh well!) One of my bucket list items has always been visiting Shakespeare’s grave. Curst be he that moves me bones!
That’s a good one. I’d love to visit his grave as well.
