This week’s topic was a bit confusing, but once I understood the gist (characters who I would like to know what is happening with many years down the line just to see what happened) I had a lot of thoughts. Since I’m a big fan of happily ever afters, and those don’t really exist, I expect I’d be disappointed by checking in on a lot of my favorite books. I mean the number of fictional high school relationships that I am “sure” lasted forever is un-realistically high. Still here are some characters I can’t help wanting to check up on!
Thanks to The Broke and the Bookish for hosting this weekly book meme!
Great picks. Definitely agree with you on the HP characters. And while I listed Gone With the Wind, I was more interested in what happened to Rhett than Scarlett. She was horrid! Charlie is also a good pick. I hope he was able to go on after realizing his deeply buried trauma.
I actually thought about putting Dash & Lily on my list, but I had way more than I needed already and had to make some tough choices! But anyone from the Harry Potterverse. A THOUSAND TIMES YES.
I’m finally going to read Gone with the Wind next month! Of course I’ve seen the movie a million times, but I know the book will be even more amazing! Happy reading! š
Great choices! I’d definitely go for a check in with Charlie! The Perks was such a beautiful book… And a whole new series through Albus Severus’ eyes would be incredible.
Harry Potter is a popular choice this week, yet I somehow forgot to put him on my list! Oops. You’ve got some great choices š
Walk Two Moons is such a fabulous story, isn’t it?
Here’s my Top Ten!
LOLA AND CRICKET. I need to know more. I want to see them together in SanFran. I just…NEED it. Also, YES to Charlie. I want to know he’s alright.
My TTT!

Yeah, I think the best thing about imagining an ending is you can imagine it a whole lot better than it probably would have turned out in real life! You can imagine the story ending how YOU want it to end.

Great list! There was a book about Scarlett that came out in the 90s but from what I remember from that book THAT Scarlett was absolutely nothing like the original Scarlett so it in no way counted! The Stephanie Perkins is on my TBR and I’d love to catch up with Elizabeth and Darcy!
I can just imagine all of the trouble that Albus Severus Potter is gettting into. I would love to read about his adventures, and check in with all of my other favorite Harry Potter characters, including Hermione, Ron, and Luna.
I would also love to see how Dash and Lily are doing. They are so cute and I want to see more of them together since I spend the whole book waiting for them to finally find each other.
Great list!
As usual, HP wins every TTT! LOL š

A sequel to Gone With the Wind was written in the 1980s. I don’t remember the author, but the title was Scarlett. She travels to Ireland to discover her roots. It was pretty good if I remember it correctly, it’s been 30 years! I’ve added Charlotte Simmons to my list on Goodreads. It seems like something I’d enjoy.
Here’s my TTT
Hope you’re having a good week!
