I have been so so lucky since moving to New York to get to meet (and even study with) some of my favorite authors. Still, there are plenty of authors, who’s books I adore, that I would love love love to meet. For this week, I picked among my favorite living authors (because adding in people like Shakespeare and Chaucer and Zelda Fitzgerald seemed way too hard). My original list was well over thirty. This is what I narrowed it down to. Let me know in the comments who you would want to meet or about a time you met one of your favorite authors.
Thanks to The Broke and the Bookish for hosting this weekly book meme!
It would be amazing to meet J.K Rowling! š Great list!
Yeah, I mean if the question is who is one author you REALLY want to meet I would definitely pick her.
Excellent list! J.K. Rowling and Rainbow Rowell are on my list too. I would love to meet Gail Carson Levine as well, and have been meaning to read Alice Munro for ages! I may have met John Green… š
What! That is so amazing that you met John Green. I definitely want to recommend Alice Munro – she is one of my favorite authors and writes the most amazing stories.
I know! He did an event in Dublin, ut was brilliant š I will definitely read her stories soon!
Great list! J. K. Rowling made my list this week, too, and I think Gail Carson Levine is a great choice – I loved Ella Enchanted when I was younger. š

Love your list, some really awesome authors! We’ve got some crossover too! I’d love to meet George RR Martin and JK Rowling – such incredible books by such incredible minds. It would be so fascinating to talk to them!
