Top Ten Recent YA Releases I’d Like to See as Movies

toptentuesday2

Happy Tuesday, friends. Since I answered this topic in 2013, I decided to narrow the subject down to list YA books release in the last two years that I would want to see as movies. Would love to know what books, of any kind, you think should make it to the big screen soon as well as any literary adaptations you are super excited about (Paper Towns, anyone?).

Thanks to The Broke and the Bookish for hosting this weekly book meme.

*Mechanica by Betsy Cornwell isn’t out yet, but I’ve read an advanced copy and think it would make an amazing film!

      1. I’ll take your word for it, besides it made it’s way onto many top tuesdays today, they can’t all be wrong

  1. I haven’t read Red Queen yet but the synopsis itself sounds like it would be a great film! I loved To All the Girls I’ve Loved Before but it didn’t make my list. The Grisha trilogy almost made my list, too. Great picks! Here’s my TTT.

  2. We All Looked Up would be interesting as a movie. It’s one that I think would work well. Great choices! 🙂

  3. I haven’t read any of these because I’m rubbish at keeping up with YA (I’m basically a granny in a younger person’s body) but I do think the premise of To All the Boys I’ve Loved before would make for a very cute adaptation. 🙂 Great list!

  4. Oooo good choices! I’m just about to start reading Red Queen, has been sat on my shelf for a while so it’s about time I picked it up! The Winners Trilogy made my list too, love it so much! I also agree with you on Stephanie Perkins trilogy, they would make great films! Love your choices this week, happy reading 🙂

  5. The Winner’s Curse would be a great movie! I would love to see Kestrel as a leading lady. I LOVE I’ll Give you the Sun, but I think it would be so hard to translate all of the emotion in that book to a movie because so much of the emotion and character building happens in the narration.
Thanks for stopping by the The Local Muse

  6. The Winner’s Curse is on a lot of lists this week (and definitely mine)! I’d actually love to see it as a TV show (more time to get all the nuances, and wonderful costumes).

    My TTT.

  7. You and I clearly have very similar taste in books. All of these would be fabulous! I almost picked I’ll Give You the Sun, too, but then I ran out of space. I think it’d have a similar feel as a We Were Liars movie.
