It’s almost Halloween! I’ve got my (literary!) costume picked out and am loving seeing decorations going up all around my neighborhood. Accordingly, here are three spooky characters for you to marry, date or dump. We’ve got Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster (sometimes misidentified as Frankenstein) and Roderick Usher from the Edgar Allen Poe story “The Fall of the House of Usher”. Excited to hear who you pick! And about any fun Halloween plans you have!
Here are my choices:
- Marry: Frankenstein’s monster (he just wanted to be loved, right?)
- Date: Dracula (I don’t remember this book that well right now, but I’m guessing he’s the lesser of two evils. Plus he’s a count!)
- Dump: Roderick Usher (This story totally spooks me out. A man who tries to bury his alive sister … no thank you.)
