This week’s Top Ten Tuesday asked bloggers to pick 10 books we’ve enjoyed in the last yearish (very scientific term) that weren’t our usual genre/type of book. I did some hunting on goodreads and saw that since January 2015 I’ve read almost 150 books (a lot were very quick middle grade reads). I also saw that about 15 of those 150 were written for an adult audience. Here are 10 of my favorite “adult” books.
Thanks to The Broke and the Bookish for hosting this weekly book meme!
I really enjoyed AJ Fikry and I loved the one book by Lauren WIllig I’ve read. Sarah MacLean is fantastic too though I’ve only read one and really need to fix that. Great list!
I rarely read Romance anymore, but I’m definitely not quitting Sarah MacLean or Lauren Willig any time soon. Which Sarah MacLean have you read?
Aziz Ansari’s book has been on my list for so long! It’ll definitely be outside my comfort zone, but I’m really excited about getting to it (eventually)

I listened to the audiobook which was really fun because Aziz read it himself. I was definitely surprised with how research heavy it was. Really interesting stuff!
What interesting looking books! 🙂 I’m glad that you enjoyed them.
Thanks!
I’ve read The Storied Life… and The Age of Miracles, and I enjoyed them both. But neither were outside of my comfort zone! I love the bookish and weird. 🙂
Both were great. I didn’t think of them as outside my comfort zone, until I realized how few “adult” books I’ve read in recent history.
I haven’t read any of these books however I am super impressed that you’ve read 150 books since January 2016!
Thanks! To be fair a lot were middle grade books which are very quick to read! Also I’m in school so reading books is basically my job.
