There are so many good books set outside the United States. I tried to create a mix of classics and current literature. I’m sure I’m forgetting some great books (like how is there no Russia on my list???) but here are ten books I’ve really enjoyed that are set outside the US. Enjoy!

I loved The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society! It was like a whole new set of perspectives about the war that hadn’t even crossed my mind. Anna and the French Kiss is also great 🙂

I think the Belgian Congo would be an amazing historical setting. And I love the cover of A House at Riverton.
The house at Riverton, is one of my favourite books, it’s so good. Have you read any others by her?
I think I’ve read all her books, but this one continues to be my favorite. The sisters are so interesting!
