There are so many good books set outside the United States. I tried to create a mix of classics and current literature. I’m sure I’m forgetting some great books (like how is there no Russia on my list???) but here are ten books I’ve really enjoyed that are set outside the US. Enjoy!
The Sun Also Rises (France)
The House at Riverton (England)
Us (many European countries)
Half of a Yellow Sun (Nigeria)
Alphabet Weekend (United Kingdom)
13 Little Blue Envelopes (many European countries)
Atlas of Unknowns (India)
The Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (United Kingdom)
I loved The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society! It was like a whole new set of perspectives about the war that hadn’t even crossed my mind. Anna and the French Kiss is also great 🙂
The House of Riverton sounds fantastic and I loved The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. I really need to try Anna and the French Kiss and several of the others you have listed. Have a great week!
Ooh Us is a great choice! So is Anna and The French Kiss- that book didn’t even cross my mind for some reason!
Love both of those books!

I totally agree. Excited to see what books made your list!
I think the Belgian Congo would be an amazing historical setting. And I love the cover of A House at Riverton.
The house at Riverton, is one of my favourite books, it’s so good. Have you read any others by her?
I think I’ve read all her books, but this one continues to be my favorite. The sisters are so interesting!

The only one of these I’ve read is The Poisonwood Bible. My TTT.
I almost featured The Poisonwood Bible to my list this week, too. Great picks!
