I know my subject this week might seem suspiciously specific. There’s a reason for this. When my friends started having babies for me to buy presents for, I always gave my childhood favorites. Lots of Eric Carle and Dr. Seuss. When I moved to New York, I realized that all the picture book authors and illustrators working right now need $$$ too. Also, they are creating the most beautiful stories. I want to support that! So now, I try to give mostly contemporary picture books to the little ones in my life. I adore The Day The Crayons Quit. Such a good book!
The first two sound hilarious! I guess one of the few cons about never having kids is being out of touch with the genre. Doesn’t mean I can’t check them out as an adult though!
