I titled this post very specifically. I’m not saying these are the best audiobooks out there or even the best that I’ve read. For example, in hindsight I’d choose to read Infinite Jest instead of subjecting myself to hours of the audio book with confusing footnotes. But from books I’ve listened to on road trips to books I’ve listened to going to sleep (waves at Harry Potter and Jim Dale for being the best reader ever) to a book I listened to while I had food poisoning, these are my most memorable audio book experiences. I recommend each. What are your favorite audiobooks? Have you listened to any of these?
Thanks to The Broke and the Bookish for hosting this weekly book meme!
Modern Romance would be a fun audiobook, but I gave up on Sedaris after Me Talk Pretty One Day. Usually, I love when authors narrate, but he sounds too pretentious. What a bummer!

I must check out some of these. I’m determined to find a good one!
Oh I loved Aziz narrating, I think that’s one of the few books that works better as an audio book because of his voice.
I have Modern Love on my TBR and I loved At Home! I had a hard time getting through the print book (possibly because I had the actual book and kept dropping it on my face) but the audio was great. Sedaris is fantastic too. Have you listened to When You are Engulfed in Flames? It’s probably my favorite of his.
