Top Ten Books I’ve Read in One Sitting

toptentuesday

I LOVE reading books in one sitting. If I like a book I want to devour it. If I don’t like a book (or I like it but the subject matter is upsetting) I’m desperate to get it over with. Here are ten of my favorite books I’ve read in one sitting or almost in one sitting (like throughout a day). From books I read during read-a-thons to reading Harry Potter sitting next to my best friend from high school, I think I like each of these books more because of my ability to read them quickly. Do you like reading a book in one sitting or do you prefer to savor a book over a longer period of time?

  1. If it’s a book I’m really into I might just plow right though it, but I don’t mind savoring and taking my time with a favorite too. Depends on the book I guess. Fangirl really flew by me for me so I can see maybe blowing through another RR book…

  2. I have I’ll Give You The Sun loaded up on my kobo. I should really get around to reading it! But The Hate U Give is definitely at the top of my list. I really need to get myself a copy of it.

  3. I agree with any and all of the Harry Potter novels. I tore through those things so fast it wasn’t even funny. My daughter loves the Rainbow Rowell books. I have several on my Kindle that need reading!

  4. Oh I love reading Rainbow Rowell’s books. Landlines was a great, quick read. You have a few I need to read…The Hate You Give and The Sun Is Also a Star.

  5. Great pick on The Sun Is Also A Star – I read through that one fast myself! I haven’t started it yet, but I think that The Hate U Give is going to be exactly the same for me. Harry Potter made my list too! How was Landline? I’m kind of up in the air on that one. I loved her other books, but I’m hesitant on that one.
