I LOVE reading books in one sitting. If I like a book I want to devour it. If I don’t like a book (or I like it but the subject matter is upsetting) I’m desperate to get it over with. Here are ten of my favorite books I’ve read in one sitting or almost in one sitting (like throughout a day). From books I read during read-a-thons to reading Harry Potter sitting next to my best friend from high school, I think I like each of these books more because of my ability to read them quickly. Do you like reading a book in one sitting or do you prefer to savor a book over a longer period of time?

I can totally understand why you sped through The Sun Is Also A Star. A great book! 🙂
It was so romantic and suspenseful that I sped right through it!
If it’s a book I’m really into I might just plow right though it, but I don’t mind savoring and taking my time with a favorite too. Depends on the book I guess. Fangirl really flew by me for me so I can see maybe blowing through another RR book…
I would have read Fangirl in one sitting except I was reading it on a visit to my sister and had to keep putting it down. So good though!
I read a few of these and I did enjoy them though I didn’t make them in one day! Great picks! Some I need to read still. My Top Ten
Hope you enjoy the ones you haven’t read yet!
The Hate U Give also made my list because it was just amazing! But I’ll Give You the Sun, and the Sun is Also a Star could have easily made my TTT. Great list!!
My Top Ten Tuesday
All such good books!
I have I’ll Give You The Sun loaded up on my kobo. I should really get around to reading it! But The Hate U Give is definitely at the top of my list. I really need to get myself a copy of it.

My Top 10
Hope you love both books as much as I did!
I would add Secret History of the Pink Carnation — that I did in one sitting!
Oh yeah! That is definitely a one sitting read!
I agree with any and all of the Harry Potter novels. I tore through those things so fast it wasn’t even funny. My daughter loves the Rainbow Rowell books. I have several on my Kindle that need reading!
Rainbow Rowell is one of my all time favorites. Hope you enjoy!
Oh I love reading Rainbow Rowell’s books. Landlines was a great, quick read. You have a few I need to read…The Hate You Give and The Sun Is Also a Star.
The Hate U Give and The Sun Is Also a Star are both such good books! If you like Rainbow Rowell, I think you will like both of them.
Great pick on The Sun Is Also A Star – I read through that one fast myself! I haven’t started it yet, but I think that The Hate U Give is going to be exactly the same for me. Harry Potter made my list too! How was Landline? I’m kind of up in the air on that one. I loved her other books, but I’m hesitant on that one.
Wow Deathly Hallows in one sitting? I think the best I ever did with that book was 3 days.

Great list! I’d like to read some Louise Erdrich and I’ve heard fantastic things about The Hate U Give. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows made my list this week, too. =)
I loved I’LL GIVE YOU THE SUN, too. But I did not read as fast as you did. Did you read it twice in one day (since it is on the list twice?)
My TTT, a day late
I’m really interested in picking up The Hate U Give! Excited to see it make your list!
