I love books, and I love children. I hope to publish books someday. I hope to have kids of my own someday. Both sometimes feel tenuous, but not totally out of reach. Regardless of achieving either of those goals, these are ten books I’d love to read with children (my children, my sister’s someday children, my friends’ children, etc). Most are favorites from my childhood, but a I threw in one or two contemporary books as well.
Big thanks to The Broke and the Bookish for hosting this weekly book meme!
These are all great choices! I may have to borrow a few to read to my daughter.
Great list! I remember reading Ella Enchanted when I was in primary school and really enjoying it, I think I might have to give it a reread at some point. =)
AHHH! Harry Potter! YES! Great list.
What a lovely list! 🙂 All of these would be wonderful.
Great list! Ella Enchanted, A wrinkle in time and Ballet shoes are favorites too =D
Nice list! My future children will definitely be reading Harry Potter. Everybody should read those books.
Aww, it’s been years since I read it, but once upon a time I did really like “Ella Enchanted.” Someday I should re-read it… just because. 🙂
Ballet Shoes and Harry Potter were both on my list this week, but I did it for future nieces/nephews as I am not a kid person and don’t plan on having kids of my own.

Ella Enchanted would be so much fun to read aloud!
