Top Ten Book Covers I’d Frame as Pieces of Art

toptentuesday

Happy Tuesday! This week’s top ten tuesday, hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, was one of my hardest ones.  These are some of my favorites, and ones that I think would be fun to have on my walls.

Which one of these is your favorite book covers? What are your other favorite covers?

  1. actually one of the great eras for art being used on covers is the 60s and 70s. The Catcher in the Rye and Wrinkle in Time covers you show are much like those covers back then.

  2. Love yours and might hang them on my wall – these I wouldn’t hang on my wall but I think both Prep and The Selection covers helped sell their books – makes you wonder about covers in the age of e-books.

    1. I thought about adding both of there covers, but agree just because they are great covers doesn’t mean I would hang them on my wall.

I think covers are just as important for ebooks, but they just need to display well on a website instead of in a book store.

      1. I saw the tote bags and sweaters when I was at The Strand Bookstore in NYC and at the NY Public Library last year. Wanted the sweater so bad but they only had xs and xl — I was so upset.

  3. The cover for The Great Gatsby is one of my all time favorite covers ever! Also, I love that art art nouveau one for that Zelda Fitzgerald book! 🙂
